About the Committee

A Transit Routing Ad-hoc Committee has been formed by City Council for the purpose of developing a cost effective and comprehensive Routing and Scheduling Implementation Plan. The mandate of the committee will be to refine and elaborate on the route and scheduling findings from the Transit Strategic Business Plan and Ridership Growth Strategy completed in 2009 in addition to incorporating transit opportunities resulting from new development areas since the completion of the report.

The committee will be engaging the residents of the City and stakeholders of transit through dialogue to ensure comments and issues are incorporated in the formulation of an enhanced transit service. Examples of this outreach program include stakeholder meetings, surveys and Open House.

An informational report including the meeting minutes is now available. View the Transit Ad-Hoc Committee Update for those details.

A key component of the study process involves consultation with interested stakeholders (public and affected agencies). A Public Information Centre is being held to provide stakeholders and members of the public with an opportunity to meet the project team, discuss issues and opportunities related to Transit Operations, review the study progress to date, and identify potential routing and scheduling revisions to enhance the current system.
